Dear Happy Hour Club,
Come join the Happy Hour Club this Thursday, August 27th at Monster B’s in Stamford @7pm for an AWESOME 80′S HAPPY HOUR!! Why come celebrate the 80’s with the Happy Hour Club?
1) You lived through the 80’s and wish it never ended. 2) You were there, but far too young to grasp the awesomeness/bodaciousness of the decade. 3) You hated the 80’s and need a reminder of how much happier you are without your MacGuyver haircut!
To celebrate this infamous decade, we will be pumping out 80’s jams and enjoying 80’s-like food and drink specials ALL NIGHT!!!… $1 Natty Light Cans, $3 Drafts w/ 30 to choose from, $3 Bahama Mamas, $5 Margaritas, $5 Wing Orders, $5 Nachos and much much more!!!! This is not necessarily a dress-up Happy Hour, but if you feel inclined to adorn a NKOTB tee or some slap bracelets, please do so!!!
Thank you everyone who made it out last Thursday to the Bike for Wishes Happy Hour Club event!!! 120+ MEMBERS came down to support the riders and do their part in trying to help out! In total, we raised $1,073 for the Make a Wish Foundation!!!
Here is a photo of the riders, who will be trekking 4,000 miles across the country in the coming weeks…
Also, a big special thanks to Heinken and Butterfield 8 for making the event possible!!
This week, the Happy Hour Club is going to make some dreams come true!! How are we going to do this? By supporting two individuals in their effort to bike across the country for the Make a Wish Foundation – Bike for Wishes!
The event will be held this Thursday, August 20th at Butterfield 8 in Stamford @7:00pm!
We understand that the in the current economy people are hurting financially and charities are struggling to find funds. With this in mind, we have created a win-win situation for all… The Happy Hour Club has received a generous donation from Heineken, with the product being sold from 7-8pm and 9-10pm for $3 a bottle with 100% of the proceeds going right to the Bike for Wishes! If that wasn’t enough, Butterfield 8 has also offered to run a $10 open bar (all beers, wines and premium alcohol) from 8-9pm, with 100% of those proceeds also going to Bike for Wishes! In other words, all you need to do is show up have a Heineken or enjoy the open bar and any money you spend will go right to Bike for Wishes!! SIMPLE AS PIE!
The two riders, Joe and Greg, will also be in person, so please stop by Butterfield 8 Thursday night, say ‘hello’ have a drink and help us make a child’s wish come true!

Hello Members:
Alive at 5 is over, but Thursday nights are going to remain HOT for The Happy Hour Club! We may not be able to offer up the likes of Bo Bice or Sugar Ray, but with our coveted Thursdays back we promise to deliver some great events in the coming months…
This week, we are going to give you all a break from the monotony of cheap domestic beers by taking you to The Ginger Man in South Norwalk, this Thursday, August 13th @7:00pm. The Ginger Man has largest beer selection we know of in Fairfield County with over 50 drafts on tap and 120 different bottles! Our members will be enjoying any regularly priced draft or bottle $6.00 and under for just $4.50 (that’s over half the selection)! This event will also be hosted by our Interim Management, as The Management will be out of town for a wedding – if you can’t stand the normal staff this is a perfect chance to enjoy the HHC, but don’t get comfortable we will be back in action next week!
The next night, Saturday August 8th, Black Taxi will be headed up the road to Two Boots of Bridgeport@ 9pm! Two Boots is an A-W-E-S-O-M-E venue, and as we said earlier, Bridgeport has a great scene!!! If that and the pizza wasn’t good enough, this show will also be featuring Ali Eskandarian a serious talent, who has been has been featured in the Freedom Glory Project. The show will be starting at 9pm and should be fantastic!!!
Anyway you cut it, this weekend is going to be filled with great original music and is not something you want to miss!
Looking for an alternative to Alive at 5 this Thursday? Then head up to Bridgeport for the Downtown Bridgeport Community Council’sFirst Annual Fiji Mermaid Parade and Burngin Ham Festival!
The Fiji Mermaid Parade starts at 6pm and is a 5 minute parade from the CT Barnum museum to the Baldwin Plaza Green. What is this parade celebrating? None other than the half money, half fish creature that CT Barnum discovered and made famous (or maybe made and made famous)!
Once the parade reaches the Baldwin Plaza Green, the Burning Ham Festival will kick off with a ton of fire performers, hula hoop workshops, electric drum circles and of course a ham BBQ!!! Not only is this a great event unlike any other in the Fairfield County area, it is BYOB, so save a few bucks in this economy and come check out one of the alternative scene of Fairfied County!
Cheers,
The Management
The Baldwin Plaza Green is located at 41 Cannon St, Bridgeport, CT 06604
