Spring is here so we are shaking things up a little bit and clearing the cobwebs. This week we are inviting all of our members to Black Bear Sono on Thursday, April 30th @7:00pm for Neat Tee Thursday!
We all have them, we all wear them and we all love them, but not all T-Shirts are created equal… this is your chance to show off your coolest tee! We want stylish, old school, crude or whatever it is you got! The staff will also be wearing their tees, so don’t be out done!

The 2nd Annual Black Rock Pub Crawl once again will benefit the huge endeavor of finding a cure for the second leading cause of death among American women today, breast cancer. According to the U.S. Cancer Statistics Working Group, 186,772 women (and 1,815 men) were diagnosed with breast cancer, and 40,954 women (and 362 men) died from breast cancer in 2004.
Last year, the 1st Annual Black Rock Pub Crawl raised almost $4,000 in donations for breast cancer, while providing new business and patronage for the establishments of Black Rock.
The 2nd Annual Black Rock Pub Crawl for breast cancer will be held on May 16th, 2009. It will start at one of the sponsoring locations, and follow a path through the establishments of Black Rock to support those businesses for their participation, as well as raise awareness about cancer and raise money for research for a cure to this deadly and widespread disease. (Path to be determined per sponsor interest.)
Your $20 donation will include a Black Rock Pub Crawl T Shirt and your entry to the crawl!
The event will start at 1:00pm on May 16th, with “crawlers” meeting at 12:00pm that day at Black Rock Tavern and end at Lady Luck at 6:00!

This week, we will be having Happy Hour Club at Monster B’s this Thursday, April 23rd @ 7:00pm!
Regarding this happy hour, we have some good news and some bad news…
First, the bad news…
As it turns out, the Jimmy Buffett cover band ParrotVille is not going to be playing happy hour. We are not entirely knowledgeable of what fell through, but we do know that Monster B’s has set up a replacement act, Big Onion, who will be rockin’ Monster B’s for the HHC.
The good news…
The weather looks good for Thursday and so too do our drink specials … $3 drafts and $3 glasses of wine, as well as specials from Kona Brewery and Margaritaville!
This happy hour will be headed up by our valiant member, Mike, so track him down, get your name tag and enjoy the nice weather!

Dear Happy Hour Club Members:
Spring is here, summer is just around the corner and so are a ton of great upcoming Happy Hour Club events. April has shaped up to a month full of some great vents, so grab your friends on Thursday night and come get social! We must remind you that this club does not exist for negotiating specials, but for meeting new people. Come down and meet some new people!
To kick things off, we have decided to take things up I-95 to Lady Luck in Black Rock on Thursday, April 16th @ 7:00pm! If you haven’t been to Lady Luck, it is a fresh breath of California air, only in Fairfield County. The Lady has been kind enough to make this Thursday their $3 Thursdays, featuring $3 wells and drafts all night!
The night will also feature the area’s one and only Bad Boy, taking the stage at 10pm!

Dear Happy Hour Club Member:
This week the club is doing something a different and will be merging great drinks and great eats at a new HHC venue… Thursday, April 9th, we will be venturing to Jeff’s Cuisine in South Norwalk @ 7:00pm.
Jeff’s Cuisine, is a South Norwalk gem, featuring some of the most tasty eats in the area and a great new back barroom. The food is so tasty, that Chef Jeff and his cuisine have been featured on the Food Network’s “Roker on the Road”!
Here is what is on the menu for Thursday evening… $2.50 Draft Beers, $4.00 Mixed Drinks, Martini Specials, Wing Specials, Wrap Specials, BBQ Tapas Specials & More!!!
There will also be some karaoke later in the evening, so come have some great food, good drinks and meet someone new!
