2010 Happy Hour Club Kick Off with the Justin Trawick Group!!

This Thursday, January 14th, The Happy Hour Club will be kicking off 2010 at Rack ‘n’ Roll with live music from the Justin Trawick Group (Alrington, VA)! This band rocked Rack ‘n’ Roll the last time we are out and we know this week will be no different. In addition to fine music and of course socializing, our members will also be enjoying some stellar drink specials…

$3 drafts and $3.50 wells 7-10pm an a FREE MILLER LITE HOUR from 9-10pm!!

‘T’is the season to catch up with old friends, make some new ones and get your 2010 started on the right foot!

Dear Happy Hour Club!

As you may have surmised from the title, this week’s Happy Hour Club event will be the last official event of 2009. We have decided that with the holidays rapidly approaching, personal travel plans, parties…etc that the club will be best served by getting our ducks in order prior to the start of 2010. Our plan is that with a little time off, we can revamp the website, throw some more features on their, develop and official calendar and get things rolling for 2010!! So don’t be sad, just get antsy with anticipation of what’s to come!

Before we take off for the rest of the year, we thought we would finish things off with a great Happy Hour Club at Burger Bar in South Norwalk this Thursday, November 19th @ 7:00pm! Our members will be enjoying the following great drink specials… ½ priced drafts, $5 mixed drinks and $3 shots! Also don’t forget about the delicious food Burger Bar will be serving up all night!

Although we are taking off the rest of the year, there are still plenty of other events out there to keep your social calendar booked. To get you started, here are two upcoming events we thought you should know about…

It is no secret that we love the originals, so we will continue to oppress you with what we feel are the “good music” events here in Fairfield County and tomorrow night is no exception!

Come down, up or over to THE FIELD in FAIRFIELD/BLACK ROCK for one of our favorites BLACK TAXI from Brooklyn! These guys always give it their all and play a hell of a show and tomorrow will be no exception! The band will likely go on sometime after 10pm to what will certainly be a packed house!

A big thank to all of you who made it out last Thursday night for Jimmy Fest at Rack ‘n’ Roll! We had a great turnout and we hope everyone enjoyed the Justin Trawick Group and the open bar! Hello Members,

You read that subject line correctly. This week, the Happy Hour Club has planned an awesome night out at Rack ‘n’ Roll Café in Stamford on Thursday, October 29^th @ 7:00pm for Jimmy Fest!!

This event comes complete with a FREE 2 Hour Open Bar from 8-10pm!!! Shots are not included in the open bar, but it is still free and are you really going to be taking shots on a work night? The purpose of this event is to celebrate the return of one of our favorite Happy Hour Club supporters, Jimmy, an owner of Rack ‘n’ Roll (pictured above)! Jimmy was out of commission for the last year after a back surgery, but is back now and is as spry as ever!

JUSTIN TRAWICK GROUP

If you were thinking that we would just have a free open bar, pool and socializing, you would be sorely mistaken! We are also bringing in the Justin Trawick Group from Arlington, VA to play for the Happy Hour Club! We ran into Justin and his band a while back in DC told him about The Club and he has wanted to come up here and play a gig ever since!  Justin Trawick Group has opened for acts such as Blues Traveler, Brett Dennen, Sara Bareilles and even the Ying Yang Twins! The full band is coming up, complete with sax and they are going to play a hell of a show for all of you! Make sure to check out their music and some of their vids on their MySpace Page!!

Dear Happy Hour Club,

The word on the street is that Thursday is going to be quite a day with temps hitting close to 70! Despite the fact that it is October and we are well into fall, we are going the way of the weather and pretending it is March! And what is the best part of March other than warm weather around the corner? Our favorite Irish holiday St. Patrick’s Day!

To celebrate, the Happy Hour Club will be headed to O’Neill’s in South Norwalk on Thursday, October 22^nd at 7:00pm! O’Neill’s just recently kicked off their Irish Music Thursday’s and will be featuring an authentic Irish band for you to enjoy!

For those of you looking for specials, O’Neill’s generally runs a Thursday night special of a Pie and a Pint for $13.95. It may not be a milk steak, but we are giving it a shot and will be following it up $4 domestic drafts and bottles all night!

A special thanks to all of those members who made it out last week to SBC for a great Happy Hour Club! We are well on our way to rejuvenating the social scene of Fairfield County’s Thursday nights! If you are looking to have a good time and meet new people, Thursday nights with us is where you want to be!

Dear Happy Hour Club,

First off, we apologize for leaving you high and dry last week and getting the email to you one day late this week. If you can believe it, even the Happy Hour Club needs a vacation every now and then. Don’t be concerned though, we still had our drinks last Thursday night and we are back this week ready to heat up your Thursday nights, because we know the weather isn’t going to.

For those of you just wanting the locale for this week, we will be headed to SBC Stamford this Thursday, October 15th at 7:00pm!!! We will be enjoying our usual drink specials, karaoke and some of their seasonal beers on tap!!!

Its our guess that by signing up for the Happy Hour Club you like bars. Not only that, you probably like getting drink specials in bars. Has your mind exploded yet? Let’s take it to the next level…we are also going to assume you like meeting new people and having a good time. Now we usually have no problems delivering you the bars and drink specials, but in recent months we have been focusing more on the promoting than the social networking aspect of the club. However, after our week off we have got ourselves back to neutral and going to give you what you want…We are going to go Billy Mays on you and guarantee that if you come Happy Hour Club you get the drink specials and better yet you will meet some new people and have a great time! To make it easy on you shy-types, we will be standing close to the front of the bar and have name tags in our hand. Just come up to us and we will hook you up with one of our famous name tags and introduce you to someone new. Meeting new people is a seriously good time and we got your covered.

O’zapft is!(The keg is tapped!) Oktoberfest is running strong in Munich, but it is just getting started here in Farifield County! Come join the Happy Hour Club and all our members this Thursday, October 1st in Norwalk to celebrate Oktoberfest at Rowley’s Tavern! Festivities will include great deals on traditional Oktoberfest brews (featuring Spaten in big boy mugs) and a full sampling of their Oktoberfest menu!
